Avon’s 8- in 1 Eye shadow palette it a fairly new palette that has just been launched. This palette offers 4 matte shades and 4 satin/shimmer shades in travel size packaging. The 8 shades are also a mixture of cool and warm shades which will cater to fair to medium/dark skin tones.
The pigmentation is okay. You definitely need to use a really good primer underneath to get good colour pay off. For someone getting into makeup this would be the perfect introduction into makeup. Within the palette you have the option to turn day time looks into night time looks in one small palette.
The Avon’s 8- in 1 Eye shadow palette is offered in 3 shades Plum Essentials, Not so Neutral (pictured here) and Starry Nights all sold for $15.00 each which is suitable for those who are looking for dupes for some of the higher end palettes. Now my impressions on this palette are like this. Being that this is a neutral palette normally neutral palettes do pack some moderate intensity. The Avon’s 8- in 1 Eye shadow palette in this case didn’t live up to my expectations fully. I found it very hard to swatch without a primer and even with a primer some of the matte shades (first 2 top shades) took alot of work to even get somewhat of a colour pay off. The shimmers swatched pretty good but also still needed a little bit of work. The price I felt could have been a little cheaper given the performance and quality of the palette.
The packaging I thought was really pretty and compact. Overall I would pass on this palette as there are other alternatives that would be better in quality as well as performance. You can order this palette online at www.avon.ca
