Wine Not! Wednesday Featuring Joiy Sparkling Wine
It’s Wine Not! Wednesday Featuring Joiy Sparkling Wine. A few weeks ago I attended a lunch event for the launch of Joiy Sparkling Wine and it was the most beautiful day filled with laughter, good wine and food as well as meeting new people. Joiy wine is a New Zealand wine filled with refreshing crisp flavour. With summer right around the corner, Joiy is one of those wines that you can enjoy while hanging out in the backyard doing some light gardening or on a picnic with some friends. What is unique about this wine is that it comes in an adorable can with a beautiful light teal background. If you love Riesling as much as I do especially during the summer then Joiy is the perfect wine for you.
Light and lively bubbles and a touch of natural sweetness give this New Zealand riesling with 10% alcohol is a fun and irreverent character. The innovative 250 mL can is lightweight, easy to chill and fully recyclable.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to capture the ambience of the event because I was too busy enjoying the good food and drink however I left you the hashtag #spreadthejoiy so that you can take a peek at what the others that attended the event captured. In terms of food pairings, lighter foods like seafood and salads would be great. I had mine with Avocado toast topped with a poached egg and tomatoes. YUM!
I love sparkling wines and I can tell already that Joiy will be one of my go-to’s for the summer because its easy to carry and the price point of $4.85 is amazing. Not to mention I was gifted my own personalized Joiy wine glass which is also amazingly cute and compact to carry along on my picnics too. Have you tried Joiy if not I would totally suggest you pick one up to try. I also left a recipe below of a cocktail I had at the Joiy event that you can also try at home.
- Tall glass with ice
- Slice of lemon
- 15mls of St Germain (Elderflower liqueur)
- Top up with half a can of Joiy
- In a tall glass add Ice, then 15 ml of Elderflower then top with a half can of Joiy, garnish with a slice of lemon
