Wine Not! Wednesday Featuring Fresh Opportunities Riesling Gewürztraminer

Hello friends! What a busy week its turning out to be for me so far, between doctors appointments, church during the week and work I am pretty tired. Last week I skipped Wine Not! Wednesday because I wanted to share something much more important, however today we are back to our scheduled Wine review post. Now that Spring has finally sprung and its slowly warming up, birds are singing and plant life is sprouting I wanted to share with you a White Wine I have been loving as of lately. One that would be perfect for the warmer months ahead. Today’s Wine Not! Wednesday is Featuring Fresh Opportunities Riesling Gewürztraminer is the perfect White wine to add toy our collection.

Wine Not! Wednesday Featuring Fresh Opportunities Riesling Gewürztraminer

This Ontario Wine was made by Niagara Cellars LTD, its an aromatic and flavourful wine with a a blends of notes such as Spice, Tangerine, Lychee and Ginger. It is a refreshing off-dry wine that pairs beautifully with Ribs, Salads and Salmon. It’s 60% Riesling, 40% Gewurztraminer. I cannot tell you how deliciously light this wine is, you just have to try it for yourself. I really love the blend of Lychee and Tangerine, it totally reminded me of the summer months I am anxiously awaiting. The spice and Ginger gave my palate this tingle almost like a wake up of my taste senses which is why the food pairings are perfect together.  I added cut up fruits in my glass like Pineapple, Strawberry and Blackberries, it transformed the wine into this amazing tropical tasting drink. I would not doubt for a moment that making sangria’s with the Fresh Opportunities Riesling Gewürztraminer  would taste incredible as well.

I am completely impressed with the Fresh opportunities wine its the perfect entry level wine for those who are just getting into wine drinking, or those that don’t like heavy wines to sip on. Not to mention its Canadian. I am all about supporting Canadian made products. Well its happy hour somewhere so excuse me while I pour myself a glass of wine and relax! Enjoy your Wednesday!
