I recently went beauty shopping and came across Rimmel’s new liquid lipsticks. Liquid lipsticks are a very popular trend this season and they happen to be one of my favorite types of lipsticks to wear. Rimmel has had alot of success when it comes to their lip products from way back in 2013 when they first launched their Apocalips lip line. Rimmel Provocalips is a new collection of kiss proof lip colours which have a 2 steps dual ended application process. One for colour and one for locking in the colour and giving you a moisturizing shine.
I was really surprised at how well these wore, they are very comparable to some of the higher end lipstains like Stila and Kat Von D. The Rimmel Provocalips wore more than 16 hours, to be exact they didn’t come off until I had to scrub them off. Normally I don’t wear makeup for 16HRs. The removal process took some elbow grease. The Rimmel Provocalips collection is kiss proof, smudge proof and food proof meaning non transferable and won’t budge and I didn’t experience any drying like some liquid lipsticks on the market. I especially loved how it was dual ended, with the lock and shine element, so it made it more comfortable to wear. The packaging was super cute too, it sort of reminded me of Valentines with the red white and pink lips which is coming up soon. The finish of the Rimmel Provocalips is more of a semi matte finish before you apply the Lock and Shine (step 2) after that is applied it does have a shine.
I did notice that before the application of step 2 folding my lips together was a very bad idea as it would stick together and disturb the process of pre setting. The cost of the Rimmel Provocalips range anywhere from $8-$9 depending on where you purchase them. Overall I love the colours I chose as well as the performance. I do plan to pick up a few more to add with those I already have.
Have you checked out this collection? What are your favourite colours? Let me know in the comments below.
