Maybelline has recently launched some of their products for the Spring 2015 collection, some of which I am still waiting to arrive in Canada. However for now I wanted to share with you an extension to their FIT Me Foundation line, in the Matte + Pore less formulation.
I have been using the Maybelline Fit Me Matte+ Pore less for about 2 months now and I am completely in love with it for a number of reasons, which I will share with you today.
The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Pore less is for normal to Oily skin so those who suffers from dry skin this is definitely not for you. The original formulation would be better for you.
It has coverage anywhere from light to medium and even full depending on the tools you use to apply it and how much product you actually use. Since using it over the past 2 months I have noticed a small difference in the size of my pores, keeping in mind I didn’t have large pores to begin with.
My pores looked smoother and the foundation looked alot more seamless on my skin. The shade that I chose is a new shade that was also added to the FIT ME line. It is in the shade #330 (Toffee Caramel) I do have to say it is just a smidgen dark but being that its Winter it gives my skin life without looking to dark.
The consistency of the FIT ME foundation is great its more on the creamier side so it gives you enough time to blend it out all over without it drying to soon, given the fact that it is a matte finish. Now being that it a matte finish it doesn’t give my skin a flat finish and it still looks like “skin” without foundation. There is no visible scent to the foundation, it smells more like an Unscented smell if that makes any sense.
The packaging has disappointing. I for one, don’t like glass bottles. They are heavy and of course they can break. I also didn’t like the fact that the new FIT ME Matte doesn’t have a pump . I thought that since it a new release there would have been new packaging that was more practical for beauty consumers.
As for the wear-ability of the foundation, since I have normal skin and I never do touch ups of foundation its not something that I really care too much about, however since this is a matte formulated foundation the wear time of the foundation staying matte was well over 6 hours before I saw any sort of of shine. Which is amazing!
