e.l.f. Studio Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems Swatches & Review

e.l.f. Studio Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems
Highlighters are essential for me. Next to lashes its the one thing that ties a look together. Especially when applied to specific areas of the face. e.l.f. has brought us some of the most beautiful baked highlighters in my opinion. They blend beautifully and they are also packed with colour. With 3 shades to choose from I chose Blush gems mainly because it didn’t look as frosty as the other 2 did. Depending on how you apply and how much apply you will get a more frosty finish rather than a glow.
Blush gems is more of a bronze finish and looks beautiful on skintones that range from medium/medium dark. The overall texture of the Baked highlighters is more on the smooth velvety type feel. I found that the best way to applying the highlighter is to dampen my fan brush or highlighting brush with makeup setting spray, then applying it where needed. Doing so gave a more softer sheen and highlight to the skin as well its a great tip for those who have a more textured skin that don’t want the emphasis on it. With a price tag of $3 if you are looking for a Dupe for MAC Cosmetics MSF in Soft & Gentle this is a great alternative to that without the $30 price tag.
As for the packaging I hope that the team at e.l.f. really rethink the packaging because it isn’t sturdy at all. Especially with baked products it is a constant worry for me of dropping it and watching it shatter into a million pieces,
I do plan to pick up the other two in the line and I definitely recommend them to everyone.
