Chudleigh’s 50th Anniversary Apple Picking With The Family
Hey friends! I’m going to share something weird about me and I hope I am not the only one. I love apple juice, apple pie, apple tarts, and apple cider and apple crisp but to get me to eat an actual apple….Not a chance! That was until the end of the summer where my family and I were invited out to celebrate Chudleigh’s 50th anniversary apple picking with the family. Up until that day on August 27th, you would never catch me eating an apple on its own. My family and I were invited to take part in the anniversary festivities with other families around the city. It was a beautiful sunny day, one we had been wishing for, for the entire summer.
It was my first time going apple picking with the family and we were all really excited to take part in the experience. We travelled about an hour to Halton Hills, which is just outside of Toronto to the Apple farm that was celebrating 50 years of business. We were treated to a delicious lunch and dessert all made from scratch, the most mouth watering food I have had in a long time! all made with love. We visited the animal farm on site where the kids got to feed the animals, that was the highlight of the day for my little ones. After that, we took a wagon ride throughout the Orchard to see all 21 varieties of their Apples. We even got to take home 2 big bags of apples which only lasted 4 days in my house which is unheard of.
It was a great day spent with the family enjoying the last bit of summer before school started again. We took home some goodies that unfortunately did not make the camera roll because we ate them all. But I am happy to report back that they were amazingly good!
