Burt’s Bees Plant Based Protein Powder
When you hear the name Burt’s Bees you normally think of the brand known for their all-natural lip balms, skincare products, and makeup. The brand has now taken a different direction to offer consumers like you and I a healthier alternative to using Protein powders. I was recently sent the Burt’s bees plant-based protein powders in the flavour chocolate and vanilla to use in conjunction with my fitness routine that I can never really seem to get in the routine of (don’t judge me). There are 15 grams of protein in each serving which comes from a colourful selection of plant sources such as pea, rice, oat, sunflower, and flax seed.
It also provides our bodies with amino acids which are excellent for those who are active in the gym and are looking for something that will help with muscle recovery after a hard workout. Normally I stay clear from protein powders because they almost always taste like powder. If I do find myself using them I disguise them with as many fruits as the blender can fit just so that gritty powdery taste remains undetectable.
That is not the case with the Burt’s Bees plant-based protein powders. Both the Vanilla and Chocolate flavours are silky and smooth when I drank them. I had anticipated that gritty protein texture I had mentioned before but there was no trace what so ever. I like to mix my protein powder with equal parts water and almond milk, whereas my husband prefers to just use water as his base. He works out 2-3 times per week and the protein powder really came through for his recovery after a tough workout.
For me, for days when I have short on time and I need to eat, I would make a smoothie with the protein powder and its enough to hold me until my next meal. So whether you are looking for a pre-workout shake or a meal replacement the Burts Bees plant-based protein powder is a much healthier option to maintain a better lifestyle and fitness journey.
