Hey friends, as you can already tell I review a lot of beauty products in order to share my thoughts with you. There is something always in rotation at my beauty table, however, I don’t think I have ever reviewed lip balms with you, as a matter of fact, I think I have reviewed lip balms once before. Anyway for the last couple of months I have been testing out quite a few lip products from Burt’s Bee’s Today I will be sharing my two cents on the Burt’s Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm Red Raspberry And Sweet Orange, there are 3 flavour crystals lip balms that Burt’s Bees carry but unfortunately the Tropical Pineapple flavour is only available across the border.

Tha balms have flavour crystals as an added burst of flavour to each application. Okay! Burt’s Bee’s I need a lip balm to moisturize my lips not eat them! As for the formulation, the balms have a blend of beeswax, sunflower seed, castor oil and coconut oil along with some shea butter and vitamin E. That in itself is an amazing army of ingredients to fight off the way of crusty lips *pun intended*

The first time I applied the lip balm I was a little confused. I wasn’t sure if the crystals were meant to be exfoliating beads as well, the balm was a little difficult to apply at first. But after awhile it became a lot easier to apply and the granules of concentrated fruit crystals melted in and created a barrier to keep my lips moist. The sweet flavour that made me want to devour my lips also went away quickly.

Overall, I am happy with the balms I do think that Burt’s Bees should include a disclaimer stating what exactly the crystals can be used for. If it is used for exfoliating I think that it would appeal to more people looking for an all in one balm and exfoliator. And lastly, the focus would be more on the application and not the fact that it provides a burst of flavour that some would not care to appreciate. Would I recommend the Burt’s Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm? Yes, I would but again I wouldn’t highlight the fanciness of the crystals.

Have you tried these lip balms? What are your thoughts? Let chat in the comments!
